Some sketches of one of the two Pectoral Sandpipers, found along the Buff-breasted Sandpipers at Foz do Sizandro. Without doubt, the most cooperative birds I have sketched so far -- these sketches were rendered less than 4m away, with the bird quite comfortable with my presence there.
Wonderful sketches.
ResponderEliminarWhat dignified looking fellows!
Thank you so much -- you are right, they do have a sort of dignified look to them, I guess it derives from the upright neck. This bird was nice enough to pose for me for a long time, did not even flinched when nearby a Peregrine Falcon swooped over a flock of shorebirds.
