A parada nupcial das Abetardas é no mínimo exuberante. Os machos, individualmente ou em arenas de machos, exibem-se no denominado 'banho de espuma', tentando captar a atenção das fêmeas. Aqui, um macho solitário guardava um pequeno território junto ao abrigo onde me encontrava. Passou grande parte do tempo agachado, levantando-se e exibindo-se perante a presença das fêmeas./The courtship display of the Great Bustard is exuberant to say the least. Males, individually or in male arenas, exhibit in what is known as 'foam display', trying to capture the females' attemtion. Here, a lone male guarded a small territory by the hide where I was standing. It spent most of its time resting, getting up and displaying whenever a female was detected.
